Bellarmine Philosophy

We, the faculty, staff and administration of Bellarmine College Preparatory, a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition, commit ourselves to the task of helping young men to develop both dynamic minds and bodies, and sensitive hearts so that their adult lives might contribute to the building of a more humane, more just, more Godly world. It is our hope that others will evaluate the success of our efforts by the sense of justice, Godliness, and humanity of our graduates. We, on our part, intend to evaluate our activities at Bellarmine solely on the basis of their effectiveness in developing such graduates.
Bellarmine Campus

Bellarmine is striving to continue to improve its facilities. In the summer of 1994, seven new classrooms were built. Additionally, Bellarmine will finish networking its campus by the fall of 1995, so all classrooms will have a networked computer. Using these computers, teachers and students will be able to access all material across campus, including CD Rom's, all material in the library, and periodicals from across the country. Bellarmine has also just received a grant to construct three new computer labs, which will be open and available for student use in the fall of 1995. Moreover, plans are underway to begin construction of a new swimming pool and track in the spring of 1995, and a new baseball field and soccer field are also in the planning stages.
Bellarmine Principal Fr. John Murphy, S.J.

For almost 150 years, Bellarmine's faculty, parents, and staff have taught young men to think, to pray, and to serve God and the larger community. Those years have seen a great change in the Santa Clara Valley to which the school has impressively adapted. The Bellarmine student body is now as multi- culturally diverse as the location where we reside. To be the principal of a school capable of such adaptation and excellence is indeed a great honor.
My hope is that we will work toward a future measured not in possession of things, but in service of people, not in programs of learning, but in discovery of truth, not in exterior security of measurement, but in the interior world of grace. I invite you to join me in this wonderful mission and to enable me to advance such hope for the service of our brothers and sisters and the glory of God.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
John D. Murphy, S.J.

The Total Person
Bellarmine is a Jesuit school, a Christian community of students and teachers learning together.
Bellarmine President, Fr. William Muller, S.J.

Bellarmine has been educating young men in the Catholic tradition of excellence for 144 years. We follow the Jesuit ideal of forming the whole person: One who is well -rounded socially, spiritually and academically. One of the best aspects about Bellarmine is that we are able to achieve this goal in and out of classroom, in a unique, exciting and fun way!
